Born in Milan (Italy) you'd think it could be pretty easy to work your way up in the fashion industry wanting to become a make up artist, but nope..it isn't!
Since a very young age I was somewhat very passionate about make up..I say somewhat cause no member of my family had any interest in it to the point that the only make up that was ever in the house was an old bronzer that my mum used to use (very rarely anyway) with this awful brush that still makes me cringe at the thought of getting it close to my face! So yeah...I just somehow had it in me.
Since I can remember I knew I wanted to be a make up artist! I had this ""doll head" I used to practice on,I loved it and when I eventually got bored of it ,I started on my friends! -THEY- got bored eventually so I decided to (finally) find myself a make up course!!!
I went from feeling on top of the world to realizing pretty quickly it would have taken all my passion and dedication to achieve what I wanted.
After the course I started working for free with any photographer I was lucky enough to find on my path and it took almost two years of word of mouth and "sweat" to build up a fairly good portfolio which allowed me to then work my way up. I was now getting payed for my dream job! Whooop whoop!!! I had the best experiences, seen amazing places and locations,met so many different incredible people ,worked with the top fashion brands and amazing photographers and magazines!
I've had the pleasure to assist and collaborate with incredibly talented make up artist such as Charlotte Tilbury, Pat Mcgrath,Alice Ghendrih ,Aaron de Mey, Lucia Pica,Aaron Smith Henrikson, Romero Jennings, Michele Magnani,Gemma Smith Edhouse,Niamh Quinn and more!

Make up to me is definitely a form of art and that's why I've expressed myself the most in the fashion industry. You can be creative,play with it.. but at the same time I love how make up is so powerful. It's incredible how a red lipstick can make you feel!
It can be magic if used correctly..I always like to enhance the features of eich individual adding a touch of character,it can be so empowering!!!
Make up took me in different directions, I've even enjoyed working for a make up brand selling/demonstrating make up on live television (QVC) in Italy and Germany for a few years on the side of all the rest! I've worked with many different important make up brands doing masterclasses and trainings..also teaching make up to small classes or one to one.

One of the things that I enjoy the most is doing bridal make up. I love the journey with the bride from the trial to the big day when you become not only their make up artist/hair dresser but their counselor! I really want to be there for them,give them support in such a beautiful but at time stressful day when they want to look incredible for their loves.
Talking about love....a few years ago I myself met THE ONE in a pretty special English man who I then moved to england for and in all honestly , I couldn't be happier!!!
I now work between London and Milan and I'm always happy to 'explore' whatever life brings me! <3

Let me just say a word about how 'BIG LIDIA' came up...some people find it inappropriate or rude or just simply weird. I get it.
I've always had a lot of 'meat' over my bones but always dealt with it fairly well.. I like myself regardless and if anything always made fun of it !
I'd like to think the BIG came from my personality but it didn't really! :-) Some of my client started calling me that and I've kind of embraced it without thinking much of it there and then, It's a kind of trade mark which in a way or another represents me.
Let's say when I'm in the room you'll know..and not only cause I take up a lot of space (hahahah) but also cause I'm quite bubbly and out there! So yeah...personality or size I am who I am and you know what?!? I like it. "
